Peter Bilak, born in Slovakia, now works in The Netherlands, in the field of graphic and type design. In 1999 he started the Typhotheque type foundry. In 2000, together with Stuart Bailey, he co-founded DOT DOT DOT magazine. He teaches typography part-time at the postgraduate cource Type & Media at the Royal Academy of Arts in The Hague.
